If you require a receipt, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment.

Property taxes can be paid IN PERSON

during regular office hours at:

Please bring the entire bill when paying in person at the Township Hall.

For after hours payments, a drop box is located to the right of the entrance to the Township office.  Payments in the drop box at 9:00 AM will be posted as received on the previous business day.

When paying by mail or in person, multiple properties can be paid with one check.  To ensure proper credit please return the payment stubs with you payment.

Official Payments charges a convenience fee to process payments.  The convenience fees vary based on the payment type and method of payment you choose.  The convenience fee is paid directly to Official Payments.  Schoolcraft Township does not receive any portion of the convenience fee.  You will be notified of the convenience fee before your payment is made.

A separate transaction for each property is required if you are paying for multiple properties through Official Payments.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS CAN NOT BE MADE AT THE TOWNSHIP OFFICE.

Non-Sufficient Funds Checks:

Checks (paper and electronic) are accepted as conditional payment of taxes.  If a check is not honored by your bank, the property tax will be considered unpaid, and will be placed back on the tax roll.  Schoolcraft Township reserves the right to apply a service charge for returned checks.
